We spent the month of July at Cocalico Creek Campground near Denver
PA. It is the same place we stayed last
year before we started on the road full time.
We had a great site for our motor home this year. It is right at the head of the pond where we
had a front row seat to all the goings on there!
This was our front yard view.
Our trusty gnome and his pot of gold goes with us and assumes a
commanding spot in each campsite. Here
it was on the picnic table.
Randy came to visit over the Fourth of July. Here he and his mom pause in their
conversation so I could take their picture.
Cathy is all smiles here, but that was before her mishap! She managed to drop the Corion sink cover on
her foot later this day. It became badly
bruised and swollen, so we visited the emergency room at Reading Hospital on
the 5th. Fortunatley no broken bones, but
lots of discoloration, swelling and pain.
Ice and rest prevailed after about 5 weeks and there seems to be no
lingering aftereffect.
What a hunk!
Randy took this picture as he tried his hand at macrophotography. These large biting flies were pretty active
and this one paused on the side of the motor home.
This Green Heron visited for a couple of days and I was able to get
this long distance photo. Just at the
edge of the pond in front of him were a myriad of fish nests, many with young
fry. It was an easy meal for the heron!
